Wound Contact Layers

The Mepitel® range of silicone wound contact layers acts as a protective barrier between the wound and the secondary absorbent dressings, preventing them from sticking to the wound bed and reducing pain during dressing changes.  Mepilex® Transfer is used for wounds with high levels of wound fluid.

These dressings require a secondary absorbent dressing, such as Mesorb®, and retention bandage, such as Tubifast®.
